Mrs. Raymond Jones and Miss Dorothy Peterson were co-hostesses
on Thursday evening at a gay miscellaneous shower, given at the
John Paasch home at 502 North Rowe Street to honor Mrs. Willard
Paasch, a recent bride.

The evening was spent in playing airplane bunco with high prize
being won by Miss Ruth Anderson and low by Miss Louise Johnson.
Miss Phyllis Love won high score in an amusing guessing game.
The prizes were later presented to the honor guest.

Mrs. Paasch was presented with a clothes basket, heaped with
her lovely gifts.

At a late hour, a delicious luncheon was served by the
hostesses, assisted by Mrs. John Paasch.

Those present were Mesdames Harold Rohr of Mackinac Island, and
Tina Paasch; Misses Phyllis Love, Louise Johnson, Ruth Andersen
Lois Peterson; the honoree, Mrs. Paasch, and the hostesses,
Mrs. Jones and Miss Peterson.

Mrs. Byron Elton of West Toledo, 0., and the Misses Janice
GeBott, Vera Hansen, Ruth Jensen and Elizabeth Morton were
unable to be present.

Speak Nuptial Vows



Miss Marjorie May Schmock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman
Schmock, 1209 South Madison Street, and Willard L. Paasch, son
of Mr. and Mrs. John Paasch, 502 North Rowe Street, spoke their
nuptial vows Wednesday evening. The service was read at 6:30
p.m. by the Rev. Carl Nicholson at the parsonage of the
Evangelical Free church.

Attending the couple were Mrs. Raymond Jones, sister of the
groom, and Fred Tauch, a friend.

The bride wore a smart black and white redingote suit with
white accessories and her flowers were a shoulder corsage of
white and tea roses. Her matron-of-honor was attired in black
and white worn with white accessories and she, too, wore a
corsage of flowers.

Mrs. Schmock, mother of the bride, wore dusty rose crepe with
white accessories and Mrs. Paasch, the groom's mother, wore
black and white with white accessories.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home
of the bride's parents to the 12 members of the immediate
families and the immediate families and the groom.

The couple are on a brief honeymoon, the bride wearing for her
traveling costume brown and white linen with matching
accessories.

Both young people have many friends here having attended local
schools. The bride, a graduate of Ludington high school in the
class of 1938, was until recently employed by the Singer Sewing
Machine Co., and Mr. Paasch is employed by the Carrom Co.

Miss Carol Ann Paasch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Paasch
of 509 N. Rath Ave., and F. Theodore Parkinson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Theodore Parkinson of: 607 N. Rath Ave., exchanged their
wedding vows Friday evening, May 5, at Emanuel Lutheran Church
with the Rev. Elmer F. Sahlgren reading the double-ring
service. Pink and white snapdragons filled the altar vases for
the ceremony. Mrs. Otto Mielke was organist.

Miss Judith Ann Hoxie was maid of honor and John G. Davis was
best man.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a
honey gold sheath made with three-quarter length sleeves and
rolled collar with brown accessories. Her bridal flowers

were yellow and brown cymbidium orchids.

Miss Hoxie, maid of honor, wore a yellow and white sheer frock
made with full skirt with which she wore black accessories and
yellow and brown cymbidium orchids.

Mrs. Paasch, mother of the bride, was attired in a willow green
silk print with bone accessories and a corsage of red roses.
Mrs. Parkinson, mother of the bridegroom, wore navy blue linen
with white accessories and a corsage of red roses.

Following the ceremony a wedding supper was served buffet
style at the home of the bride's parents. Mesdames James
Christensen, Raymond Grams and Oliver Genter assisted in
serving.

A three-tier wedding cake decorated with white roses arid pink
and white sugar bells tied with white satin ribbon, was made
and decorated by the bride's mother and Mrs. John Quinn, friend
of the family. Miss Diane Paasch assisted serving the cake.

Guests included the members of the bridal party, immediate
families of the bridal couple and grandparents of the bridal
couple. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. F. T.
Parkinson and Mrs. Gus Smith of Midland, grandparents of the
bridegroom and Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Parkinson of Midland.

The bride, who was graduated from Ludington High School in
1960, is employed in the accounting department at Dow Chemical
Co. plant.

The bridegroom who attended Merrill High School and who was
graduated with the Ludington High School Class of 1960, is a
mechanic at Stevenson Motor Sales.

For a wedding trip to eastern Michigan the bride wore a beige
tweed suit with brown accessories and corsages of orchids.

Upon their return the bridal couple will be residing at 210 1/2
E. Danaher St.
